Check vendors against your vendor questionnaire and initial selection criteria, and conduct interviews with the vendors.

It’s time to eliminate all the vendors that don’t meet your initial selection criteria.

Vendor demonstrations can happen remotely or in-person. At the end of this stage you compile a short list of vendors that you feel are worth evaluating in a full-scale PoC.

Including non-disclosure agreements (NDA), intellectual property & security validations.

A standardized testing checklist allows you to compare the vendors like-for-like.

Provide a testing checklist to all shortlisted vendors for PoC demonstrations, performing on-site individual vendor demonstrations, scoring and documenting the process.

Assign weights to variables such as Quality, Delivery, Price and the Service based on its importance to your company, scoring the vendors on each of those criteria and calculating the overall weighted average score for each vendor

Notify all software vendors of your decision and negotiate the contract with your chosen vendor.
